Very Happy

We are very happy here. Right now we're all sunburned from spending Friday afternoon at the pool and Saturday at the beach. We had a picnic lunch at the lagoons and then Jeff and I relaxed on the grass while Leah played in the ocean with some new friends, Caleb dug in the sand, and Sara bounced between us. It was a very good day. I got to thinking about vacations and how much I enjoy them, yet worry too much about how it's going to end in five days or stress over the long flight ahead. Living here is a fabulous mix of glorious vacation-ness combined with routine and all the comforts of home. I adore it. I am so happy.

Here's the kids having Belgian waffles for Sunday brunch on our lanai.

  1. Emily asked if she can go to "the kid's house". Hilarious child of mine! I have to be careful when I read your blog. She sees the beach/water and immediately begs to go. The beach is over 2 hours away for us, so we don't go very often.
Your place looks cute, for as much as I can see. Beautiful green! Yeah, our lawn is still struggling to overcome the red Georgia clay in places. Oh, I can't wait for a full lawn (and an enclosed back yard!).

  3. I'm so glad you're having a great experience. I am jealous. Maybe someday soon I'll be able to write a post with that title.
